The story of ecosystems and food
I’m a chef-ecologist passionate about (re)connecting people with the ecosystem through food. As an ecologist, I wanted to understand how ecosystems function, how soil, plants, and microbes work together to create life.
Cooking made me part of it. It turned observation into participation.
Now I cook and ferment to bring those connections to the table, using local produce, fire, and time as my main ingredients. For me, food is a way to care for life, from the ground beneath our feet to the microbes within us.
I love getting people together in the kitchen (or around the fire!) because when we cook together, we connect in ways that make the food taste even better.
